Why should you join a working group? We ALL face the same issues to make data FAIR. The struggles we have today can be solved by working together. This way we both leverage our limited time, we do not reinvent the wheel in each independent research community, and we can make the user experience more consistent across platforms. In addition, each group will document their accomplishments by preparing a report or white paper at their conclusion (within 6-12 months), not only to promote the result but to give each member credit for their work.
Not sure what you might be interested in? We plan to have an initial “all hands” working groups meeting on Dec. 1. Here we can break into small groups where it will be much easier to discuss and create a mission for each group. Nothing is set in stone! Once a group is formed, the members will determine the short-term focus of the group, and the expected deliverables.
