Dear ICGI members,
Per our bylaws, nominations for ICGI co-chairs are now open, closing 1 February. We will elect co-chairs of each workgroup (Structural Genomics, Functional Genomics, Comparative Genomics and Bioinformatics, Germplasm and Genetic Stocks, and Breeding and Applied Genomics) and the co-chair of ICGI overall, with the current co-chairs ascending to the Chair positions.
Please send your nominations to me (cotton(a)njau.edu.cn<mailto:cotton@njau.edu.cn>/tzzhangnj(a)163.com), including the email address of the person(s) you wish to nominate and the office(s) that you wish to nominate them for. It would be appreciated if you would check with the prospective nominee first to make sure that s/he is willing to serve, although I will check with them as well.
Pending any unexpected delays, nominations will CLOSE on 1 Feb, the election will open shortly thereafter (I will provide a link to it then), and the election will CLOSE on 1 March unless an extension is appropriate per our bylaws.

It would be important to inform that individual that PAG provides no support for travel or any other expenses for Workshop speakers, except as mentioned below. Again, we will attempt to arrive at decisions by the end of Oct. 22, so that everyone has plenty of time to perfect and submit their abstracts, and if not chose, to submit a poster instead. (Please note however, that space for posters is limited, so it might be wise to submit poster abstracts well before Oct. 23.)

The ICGI Steering Committee will select it in next January.

Please note that as long as you registered for the conference, you have automatically got hotel reservations. The standard hotel rate for ICGI 2014 Conference is CNY 380 (about US$60) per night including breakfast. You can pay the hotel by CNY cash or credit card.
