Opportunities to join our team and work with these one-of-a-kind trees do not come often, but we have an opening now for a 2-year technician with the Prunus collection!
We are currently accepting applications for a technician position at the National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Davis (field location at Wolfskill Experimental Orchard in Winters). This is a federal position open to US citizens at the BS or MS education level. We are looking for applicants with practical experience working with trees in a nursery or field setting, either in research or industry. The job will involve detail-oriented record keeping as well as the physical demands of work outdoors in the orchard and in the greenhouse, and working collaboratively in a small team setting. This technician will also be working closely with a broad network of researchers on a large, collaborative federally funded project so it is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates hoping to build academic connections and explore the Prunus research world.
