2-year Technician Opportunity with the Davis National Clonal Germplasm Repository Prunus collection

Job Opportunity Closing 1/6/23 (USDA-ARS Clonal Germplasm Repository, Davis CA) Whenever people visit the USDA Prunus collection at Wolfskill, someone inevitably says “wow, you all have the best jobs!” Actually, yes we do. Opportunities to join our team and work with these one-of-a-kind trees do not come often, but we have an opening now for a 2-year technician with the Prunus collection! We are currently accepting applications for a technician position at the National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Davis (field location at Wolfskill Experimental Orchard in Winters). This is a federal position open to US citizens at the BS or MS education level. The job will involve detail-oriented record keeping as well as the physical demands of work outdoors in the orchard and in the greenhouse, and working collaboratively in a small team setting. This technician will also be working closely with a broad network of researchers on a large, collaborative federally funded project so it is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates hoping to build academic connections and explore the Prunus research world.
