I am sorry. After ICGI Steering Committee voted and discussed with the local organizer, we have to make a difficult determination to postpone holding our 2020 International Cotton Genome Initiative (ICGI) Research Conference(originally to be heldinAugust 3-6, 2020) at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Rehovot, Israeldue to the present epidemic condition. When will we hold the conference remains to be determined depending on epidemic condition?

Dear ICGI members,
We would like to update you on preparations for the 2020 ICGI Research Conference.
In light of the global impact of the coronavirus on travel, we have made an adjustment for abstract submission without registration.
As we move through the next few months leading to the conference, we will communicate to you any updates regarding the conference.
Note that the 2020 ICGI Research Conference will be held ONLY if guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Israeli Ministry of Health will permit the participation of ICGI members from all countries.
At this time we ask all members to submit abstracts without payment of registration fee.
Our final decision regarding the conference will be made on early May.
If circumstances allow for the 2020 ICGI Research Conference to be held as scheduled, abstract submitters will be notified of a decision regarding their presentation during the month of May and will be asked to immediately register.
We take this opportunity to remind you that IGCI decided to encourage student participation by awarding 10 graduate students to attend and give a talk or poster (1 x $300 award, 3 x $200 award, and 6 x $100 ). In addition, ICGI will provide 3 x $500 graduate students travel grant through a competition.
With hope to see you all in August 2020 in Israel.
Please continue to look for future updates regarding our 2020 conference.

Dear all ICGI members:
You are cordially invited to attend the 2020 International Cotton Genome Initiative (ICGI) Research Conference to be held from August 3-6, 2020, at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Rehovot, Israel, hosted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Agricultural Research Organization and the Israeli cotton community.
This conference is expected to be particularly important, in that the reference genome sequences of two cultivated tetraploid cottons and their diploid progenitor genomes have been assembled. Accordingly, this will be an opportunity to discuss the post-genomic era for cotton and benefit from the collective skills and interests of the worldwide cotton research community to apply the benefits of the genome sequences to addressing fundamental questions and accelerating practical precision breeding of cotton.
Full details of the meeting, registration information, and hotel information, are available at https://www.cottongen.org/icgi/2020-conference/home.
You are fully responsible for your associated costs (visas, travel, lodging, etc), as well as making and paying for your hotel reservations.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2020 ICGI Res Conf.
Sincerely,
