How does the user community value the GDR?
If you’re attending the ASHS conference in Orlando next week and are a Rosaceae crop breeder or breeding-allied researcher, your thoughts and wisdom are needed!
We’d like to discuss your ideas about user benefits of accessing GDR data and tools (such as advances, outputs, and impacts that would not be possible or would cost more or take more time if the GDR did not exist) and how the GDR could quantify those benefits across the community. We’d also like to discuss user costs to access GDR data and tools (such as user time to train on GDR content and capabilities and to access and use specific data and tools). (From next year, we plan to visit yet-to-be-chosen user programs across the U.S. for in-depth case studies on such benefits and costs.)
It would be great if you could participate in one of the 1-hour discussion sessions to be held during the conference, on Thursday Aug 3 at 1:00—2:00 pm and 4:30—5:30 pm in Antigua 4 room of the conference venue. Email me at cpeace(a)wsu.edu<mailto:cpeace@wsu.edu> to RSVP or find out more, or just turn up to the room at the start of a session.
Also, remember to attend the workshop on Thursday morning, 10:15—12:15, “Hands-on Training for Effective Use, Data Contribution, and Options for Long Term Sustainability of Specialty Crop Community Databases<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://ashs.confex.com/ashs/2023/meetingapp.cg… >” and participate in an interactive workshop to accelerate your research!

Dear Rosaceae Genomics friends,
We have decided to cancel this meeting as nobody has suggested any specific topic they wanted to discuss.
The acceptance rate was quite high, though, so we will try to arrange another meeting in a few months. Please, if you are aware of projects and funding application initiative that might interest the larger Rosaceae community, let us know.
Thanks
We have found a date for the RosIGI meeting. Please find below the link to join the meeting via Teams.
As a reminder, the purpose of RosIGI is to ensure communication among Rosaceae researchers across the world (so not only US) and coordinate international efforts on key initiatives that might be undertaken. More info here: Rosaceae International Genomics Initiative (RosIGI) | GDR<https://www.rosaceae.org/community/rosgi>
I hope the many of you will be able to attend this meeting, and feel free to share this invite with anyone you think might be interested.
If you would like to present or propose a topic for discussion, please get in touch with me or with any of the other international liaisons (below).
For example, I am aware of several initiatives about developing genotyping platforms to 1) replace Illumina arrays that are being discontinued; 2) fill-in gaps for certain crops (i.e. Rubus); 3) multi-species SNP arrays. It would be great to have some of the researchers involved in this space to present some slides about current discussions.
I’ll circulate an agenda after RGC11 ☺

Dear Rosaceae International Genomics community,
At the last RosEXEC meeting at PAG30 we decided to re-instate annual RosIGI meetings, which haven’t occurred for a few years.
The purpose of RosIGI is to ensure communication among Rosaceae researchers across the world (so not only US) and coordinate international efforts on key initiatives that might be undertaken. More info here: Rosaceae International Genomics Initiative (RosIGI) | GDR<https://www.rosaceae.org/community/rosgi>
We are thinking of having a virtual meeting a couple of weeks after RGC11. It would be great to know who is interested in participating and has something to discuss/share with the community. We can have some time for presentations as well.
Please select your preferred date for this meeting at this doodle poll: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/eXQBmKva
As it is very difficult to find a time that suits everyone around the world, suggested times are chosen to encourage participation from NZ, Europe and Asia. We can easily liaise with America afterwards.
Please get in touch with me or the other RosEXEC international liaisons if you have suggestions and/or have something to share at the meeting:

Job Opportunity Closing 1/6/23 (USDA-ARS Clonal Germplasm Repository, Davis CA)
Whenever people visit the USDA Prunus collection at Wolfskill, someone inevitably says “wow, you all have the best jobs!” Actually, yes we do. Opportunities to join our team and work with these one-of-a-kind trees do not come often, but we have an opening now for a 2-year technician with the Prunus collection!
We are currently accepting applications for a technician position at the National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Davis (field location at Wolfskill Experimental Orchard in Winters). This is a federal position open to US citizens at the BS or MS education level. The application is short and is currently only open until 1/6: https://www.usajobs.gov/job/696209800<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.usajobs.gov/job/696209800__;!!PTd7Sd…>
We are looking for applicants with practical experience working with trees in a nursery or field setting, either in research or industry. The job will involve detail-oriented record keeping as well as the physical demands of work outdoors in the orchard and in the greenhouse, and working collaboratively in a small team setting. This technician will also be working closely with a broad network of researchers on a large, collaborative federally funded project so it is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates hoping to build academic connections and explore the Prunus research world.
Please pass on this opportunity to anyone who might be interested and reach out to if you have any questions.
Happy Holidays!

A perfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds, fixatives and solvents - used to give the human body, animals, food, objects, and living-spaces an agreeable scent. The word perfume derives from the Latin perfumare, meaning "to smoke through". Perfumery, as the art of making perfumes, began in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, and was further refined by the Romans and Persians. The world's first-recorded chemist is a woman named Tapputi, who was mentioned in a cuneiform tablet from the 2nd millennium BC in Mesopotamia. She distilled flowers, oil, and calamus with other aromatics then filtered and put them back in the still several times.

perfume for men
perfume for men
There are many different types of perfume for men, each with its own unique scent. Some of the most popular brands include Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, and Hugo Boss. Perfume is typically made from a combination of essential oils, alcohol, and water. The exact proportions of each ingredient vary depending on the desired scent.
Perfume is typically applied to the neck and wrists, as these are areas where the body emits the most heat. This helps the perfume to evaporate more slowly, allowing the scent to last longer. It is important to choose a perfume that smells good on your skin, as each person's body chemistry is unique and can affect the way a particular scent smells.
