Hi,
We currently have 4 nominations (assuming Cameron and Ksenija submit their CVs and paragraphs of interest) for RosExec and 2 folks that intend to submit for the internationals. Ideally, we'll have at least one more nomination for US and internationals. Nominations are due Friday April 1. Please consider nominating someone for one of these roles so we can fill all the positions available. Nahla, will you still be nominating Sara?
Thank you!
Gayle Volk

We are seeking nominations for individuals to serve a three-year term (U.S. members) and two-year term (international liaisons) on the U.S. Rosaceae Genomics, Genetics, and Breeding Executive Committee (RosEXEC). There are five open seats on the 15 member Committee and 3 open seats for international liaisons.
Please consider nominating a colleague you believe would contribute to supporting the mission of RosEXEC:
* Serve as a communication and coordination focal point for the U.S. Rosaceae genomics, genetics and breeding community.
* Define research priorities based on input from the industry and research community.
* Facilitate scientific interaction and foster dynamic research teams.
* Promote research priorities.
* Coordinate educational efforts from the research community to the industry and the public.
Committee members are expected to participate in quarterly telephone conference meetings.
Nominators must contact nominees and confirm willingness to serve on RosEXEC. Nominees should then submit a brief bio and vision statement. A community-wide election will be managed by the Genome Database for Rosaceae in April.
Send nomination packages to Gayle Volk (Gayle.Volk(a)usda.gov), Chair of the RosEXEC membership committee by April 1, 2022.

Hi--
We've rotated leadership positions at RosEXEC and I am now the chair. Our first order of business is to sort out membership issues in RosEXEC. Here is the current roster: https://www.rosaceae.org/community/rosexec_2020<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rosac…>
We haven't had elections for a few years, so terms have expired. Our plan is to rotate the members that expired in 2020 off the committee (Dario Chavez, Chris Saski, Janet Slovin, Ellen Thompson, and Margaret Worthington, Felicidad Fernandez, Craig Hardner, and Max Cheng). Thank you to Dario, Chris S, Janet, Ellen, Margaret, Felicidad, Craig and Max for your efforts! I will request nominations soon and we will hold elections in April to fill those positions, which will be from 2022-2025.
Due to committee inactivity, we are proposing an extension of the remaining positions. The 2018-2021 cohort will remain in their positions through 2023 (Nahla Bassil, Chris Dardick, Jonathan Fresnedo-Ramirez, Lise Mahoney, Phil Stewart) and the 2019-2022 cohort will remain in their positions until 2024 (Tom Gradziel, Jim Luby, Josette Lewis, Per McCord, Gayle Volk). After elections, RosEXEC committee members will remain in place through 2023, which will save us from needing to hold elections twice in 2022.
If you do not want to extend your position, please let me know.
Thanks!
Gayle Volk
