for Horticultural Sciences (ISHS), the convener and local organizing
committee invite you to participate in a symposium devoted to Molecular
Markers in Horticulture. The symposium will be held July 29 to August 1,
2009 at the Alumni Center located on the Oregon State University (OSU)
campus in Corvallis, Oregon.
Program Information:
You are invited to submit papers on DNA-based markers, applications of
next-generation sequencing and analytical tools and bioinformatics as
they pertain to horticultural crops. You will tour the OSU CGRB Core
Laboratory which provides services in genomics, functional genomics,
biocomputing and bioinformatics and the USDA ARS Corvallis Genebank

Dear RosEXEC,
Attached are the minutes of the teleconference last week. Thanks so much
to Nahla for taking these minutes (who is otherwise up to her eyeballs
preparing for the ISHS markers symposium). Please read over and send
back any edits. On Wednesday next week we'll post the minutes on the
GDR.
A mailing list mix-up meant that the teleconference notification and
agenda sent out beforehand only went to last year's membership, so our
five new members didn't even know it was on. Sorry for that! I would
like to offer the opportunity to hold a second teleconference in the
next week or two to cover any other issues that our new members would
like to raise, and anything we didn't cover last week. So new members,
please let me know if you would like to do this.
