FYI and comments: GDR renewal list of specific objectives
1. Map across Rosaceae, Rutaceae, Populus and Arabidopsis genomic sequence.
2. Collect, curate and integrate additional Rosaceae map, marker, polymorphism, sequence and literature data
3. Collect, curate and integrate Rosaceae QTL data and develop QTL reference maps
4. Collect, curate and integrate Rosaceae and Rutaceae expression and pathway data sets.
5. Add Rutaceae (Citrus) structural and functional genomic data
6. Enhance user interfaces to improve data utilization and community participation
7. Expand GDRs educational and outreach role by offering (a) GDR training workshops at the annual Plant and Animal Genome Conference, (b) Offer specialized outreach workshops in the application of genomics, genetics and breeding to growers and producers (c) Develop online modules on the application of genomics, genetics and breeding for crop improvement (d) Offer a credit level summer course in genomics and bioinformatics for high school teachers (e) Provide undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral training in genomic data curation, bioinformatics and teaching
