We hope everyone is doing well.

You are welcomed to attend 2014 biennial conference of the International Cotton Genome Initiative (ICGI), to be held from 25-28 September 2014 in Wuhan, Hubei, China, hosted by Huazhong Agricultural University. I kindly remind you the deadline for this conference is April 30. So, please register and submit your abstract as soon as possible at http://www.cottongen.org/icgi/conference_2014/home.

In the conference, onw we will have following plenary talks:

A draft genome of the extra long staple cotton Gossypium barbadense,

Comparative and functional analyses of the cotton A- and D- genomes and

Genomics and genomics-based selection breeding after sequencing cultivated tetraploid cotton genomes, etc.

It is now the 15th of April and there is only 15 days left for the ICGI 2014 registrations and abstract submissions, but we currently only have 67 registered members and 21 submitted abstracts.
