CIRAD, a French agricultural research and cooperation institute based in Montpellier, France, has a job opening for a cotton geneticist/breeder. This is a permanent position, and we are looking for someone with a PhD or MSc in genetics, breeding, plant improvement, or similar. After spending some 1.5 to 2 years in Montpellier, France and carrying out missions with some of our partner breeding programs, the successful candidate is expected to take up an assignment with one of our partners in Africa.

Dear ICGI members,
The 2024 ICGI Research Meeting will be held at the luxurious Hotel Inter-Continental in Tashkent from October 7th to 11th, 2024 in Uzbekistan as part of World Cotton Research Conference 8 (WCRC8).
The WCRC8 conference website will be launched in the first week of March 2024. At this time, please prepare your abstract, passport, and other required travel documents.
Following are tentative deadlines:
* April 30, 2024: Registration: $450 USD
* April 30, 2024: Abstract submissions
* June 30, 2024: Full paper submissions
Dr. Xianlong Zhang (current ICGI Chair), John Yu (past ICGI Chair) and I will coordinate with the WCRC8 organizers for ICGI scientific programs.
